Shipping & Returns


Most products can be shipped Australia wide. If your order contains live fish, live plants and/or frozen goods currently we only ship to the following states:

  • ACT & New South Wales
  • Queensland
  • South Australia
  • Victoria

We are also unable to ship live fish, live plants and frozen goods to some remote locations within these states. If you are unsure, please contact us.


You pay a flat rate of $15 for orders up to $200.

Large and bulky items are not included


Melbourne Metro: Most Melbourne suburbs are eligible for same-day delivery.  You’ll receive an email notification when your order has been picked up from the store.

National: If you are not located within any of the Melbourne Metro suburbs, then your order will usually be dispatched within 2-3 business days. You will receive a tracking number by email when your order has been dispatched. Orders containing live fish and/or live plants are not dispatched on Thursdays or Fridays.


Please note that because of the complexities and procedures involved in packing and shipping live fish, as well as our utmost concern for the well-being of our aquatic livestock, we cannot accept any returns of aquatic livestock.

For non-livestock items, we do not give refunds if you simply change your mind or make a wrong decision. You can choose between an exchange or credit where goods are faulty or are different from the product purchased on the website. We ask that you notify us by e-mail with details of your invoice number within 7 days of delivery. No item shall be returned without prior agreement between the purchaser and Coburg Aquarium. In the case of faulty goods, we will ask you to return the item and all parts in their original packaging for a replacement.

In the case of an out-of-stock item, please allow up to five business days for the refund to be processed.


We offer a 100% live delivery guarantee on all fish and plants. If you receive any fish or plants dead on arrival, please take a photograph with the DOA still in the shipping bag*.

Please e-mail your photograph and details of your claim within 24 hours of your stock arriving at info@aquaticoaquarium.com.au so that we can process your claim and arrange a refund for you.

*Claims MUST be accompanied with accurate photos of the dead fish in the original bag(s), and if necessary for better clarity, a photograph of all dead fish laid out of the bags. Packaging/Delivery costs and Freight costs are Non-Refundable and cannot be claimed.

Our live fish guarantee is void if:

  • No-one is present to receive the consignment at the time of delivery and the consignment is left unattended at the destination.
  • The fish are not held at the delivery address and/or are on-sold or transferred to another person.


State and territory regulations regarding noxious or prohibited species can vary depending on which Australian State or Territory you live in. Ultimately it is your final responsibility as the customer to ensure you are complying with your local state fisheries regulations.


An order may be cancelled if Aquatico Aquarium is notified at info@aquaticoaquarium.com.au before the order has been packed.

Any refunds will be credited to the account on which the order was purchased.



  • In some circumstances, orders containing live fish and live plants are delayed or canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions. You will be notified if this happens with your order.
  • Stock availability is subject to change for orders containing live fish and live plants. If we cannot fill an order we will notify you via email or phone within two business days.
  • At this time, Aquatico Aquarium does not accept international orders.
  • Any orders placed outside the above terms are subject to the customer’s discretion.
  • Any special requests of size, colour or sex are fulfilled if possible, but cannot be guaranteed as this depends on stock availability.
  • The stipulated size for Live Fish and Live Plants is an approximate size guide only.
