    Seachem Replacement Cartridge usually refers to a replacement filter media cartridge used in Seachem filtration tools or systems.

    But important point:
    Seachem does NOT mainly use “cartridges” like cheap hang-on filters. Most Seachem products use modular media (Matrix, Purigen, Zip Bag, sponges, etc.)

    So when people say “Seachem replacement cartridge”, it can mean different things:

    1. Algae Scraper Replacement Cartridge (most common meaning)

    This is a replacement head for Seachem algae scrapers (not a water filter cartridge).

    It includes:

    • Blade or pad for cleaning glass
    • Plastic holder
    • Used for scraping algae from aquarium walls

    This is a tool replacement part, not filtration media.

    2. Filter cartridge (less common / generic use)

    Sometimes sellers use “Seachem cartridge” incorrectly to describe:

    • Sediment filter inserts
    • Pre-filter cartridges in Seachem-related systems
    • Custom filter housings used in water treatment setups
